Travel Awards

Basic Sciences Symposium

The AUA Office of Research is working to offer travel funds to subsidize a portion of travel and lodging costs associated with attendance to the 2018 Basic Sciences Symposium: "Understanding Disorders and Differences in Sexual Development and Male Infertility," to be held at the AUA Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 20 from 1 – 5 p.m. and Monday, May 21 from 7:30 a.m. – Noon.

Applicants must be students, trainees or early-career investigators within ten years of completing residency or postdoctoral training. Travel awards will range from $400–$1,200 and the distribution of awards will be determined by the AUA Office of Research based on need, distance traveled and relevance of the applicant's research interests/activities to the symposium topic. Applications are now being accepted to allow the necessary time for application review, awardee notification, and travel arrangements. However, applicants should be aware that the distribution and amount of travel award funding is subject to NIH R13 grant support, the results of which will not be known until late-February.

Download an Application Form below for more details and application instructions.

The deadline to apply is Friday, February 16, 2018.
